This Wasn't Built Overnight

Back in 2018, I was tired of seeing the same cookie-cutter gyms promising results they couldn't deliver. You know the type - lots of mirrors, fancy equipment gathering dust, and trainers who'd never thrown a real punch or lifted anything heavier than their protein shaker.

So I scraped together what I had and opened Xenovex Dominion in a barely-renovated warehouse on Granville. The name? Yeah, it's aggressive. That's the point. This place was gonna be different from day one - no nonsense, no excuses, just pure work.

I spent 15 years competing in MMA circuits across North America and training Olympic lifters who actually made it to the podium. Saw what worked, what didn't, and what was just straight-up BS. Brought all that real-world experience here to Vancouver because this city deserved a facility that actually understood combat sports and strength training at a fundamental level.

2018

The Beginning

Opened our doors with 8 members, two heavy bags, and a dream that most people said was crazy. Ran morning sessions at 5 AM because I was still working construction to keep the lights on.

2020

Expansion Under Fire

Yeah, we expanded during a pandemic. Everyone thought I'd lost it. But our members needed us more than ever, so we doubled our space, added outdoor training zones, and brought in Olympic lifting platforms that could handle serious weight.

2022

Competition Ready

Our fighters started winning. Not just local stuff - provincial championships, national qualifiers. Three of our Olympic lifters made it to Canada's development team. That's when I knew we'd built something real.

2024

Full-Service Facility

Added nutritional planning and recovery programs 'cause we realized you can't out-train a garbage diet or ignore your body's need to heal. Hired specialists who actually walk the walk, not just people with fancy certifications and zero practical experience.

2025

Today

Over 300 members who show up, put in the work, and push each other to be better. We're not the biggest gym in Vancouver, but we're definitely the realest. Every person who walks through that door becomes part of something bigger than themselves.
